The most important action you can take in any threat to your groundlessness is to breathe. Breathing literally sustains the health of your body. Paying attention to your breath can improve focus and clarity, reduce stress and align your mind, body and spirit. Breathing is life.
Inhale.
Exhale.
One of my favorite breathing exercises uses Psalm 46 of the Bible, a line that says : Be still and know that I am God. I start with the whole line inhaling ‘Be still and know’ and exhaling the rest. I do that a couple times then begin to remove a word from the end each time I breathe in and out.
Be still and know that I am God
Be still and know that I am
Be still and know that I
Be still and know that
Be still and know
Be still and
Be still
Be
…. that’s our work- to be. Our being is centered and grounded by the breathe that connects us to ourselves and to our Creator. Keep breathing
